Doggy door

A few weeks ago Andy's mom came to watch Syd for me. She said it got very quiet and she didn't know where she had gone. She started looking for her and then saw Syd on the back patio waving to her through the window...how did she get there???

This is how she goes in and out of the house. She loves it and we have to keep an eye on her b/c she is fast.

She is growing up!!

I haven't written much about Sydnee lately. She is turning one tomorrow. She is amazing. In the last couple months she has learned to walk and say a few words. She loves to be outside. She wants to be outdoors rain or shine. Here are some pics of her...

Reunion

After almost FOUR long months Andy returned home. It was a wonderful reunion. We are so happy to have him home safely. Sydnee is loving her daddy more and more each day!! The house feels full again and I feel whole again. It is a wonderful feeling!!
Waiting impatiently for Daddy to get here...
We see him!!! YAY!!
He is here and in our arms...a great feeling!!
All together again!!

Andy is home soon

I feel so happy to say that Andy will be home in less than a week. I feel like the part of me that has been missing will be intact again. We have been very busy these last few weeks. Sydnee has changed so much in the last couple months. She is walking now. She started walking at 10 months. She is everywhere now. She loves to be outside and has learned how to go through the doggy door. She is saying mama and means it, dog, whats that, and more. She points at what she wants and will let you know when she is hungry by smacking her lips. She loves Boomer and will jump on him and love on him. He takes it. We recently lost her precious lovey blanket, Bonnie. She had to be replaced with Bonnie Bear. The closest I could find to the original. She is warming up to the new one. She is eating more adult food these days rather than baby food. She loves to feed herself and I am having to be patient with how messy she gets now. Life is good and will be even better when Daddy gets home!!

The Balloon

I received a balloon for my birthday and Syd loves it. She literally takes it everywhere with her. I took pictures on different days to show just how much she loves this thing. I went to lunch with a friend one day and the balloon even came with us. She is too funny!! Amazingly this balloon isn't losing air:)

BOOMER!!!

Sydnee got the cutest little farm animals from her Grandma Tahoe when she was younger. She loves to play with them and bite them. She loves the pig the most. She will bites its little nose and smiles when I make its noise.

The other day I was enjoying some time outside and was watching the dogs play keep away. I didn't think much about it until I caught something pink out of the corner of my eye...I thought what is that...OH NO ITS THE PIG!!!

I rescued the little piggy and he got a fresh bath and is now good as new back in the pig-sty we call our living room!!

First "snow"

I thought I would post some pics of Sydnee experiencing her first winter weather. She was all bundled up and could barely move her arms but still tried to crawl on the white stuff. It was fun to watch her. Boomer, our okinawa dog, was having some fun too. He wasn't too sure about the ice at first and looked like Bambi trying to walk accross it. He soon figured out what to do though and had fun chasing Tucker everywhere. I hope there is more snow to come!!!

She is mobile!!

Well...Sydnee is crawling!! She just started one day after many days of sliding around backwards!! I just happened to have the video camera rolling when she started! It is so fun to watch. She of course is into everything now. I am realizing that my "baby proofing" is going to have to be redone! We are definatly into a new stage of her life. She is just starting to look older and act that way too. I know that she is still my sweet little baby though.

On top of crawling the girl LOVES to stand up. She is standing and holding onto whatever she can. She is even starting to move around whatever she is holding onto. Times are a changing!

The Mirror Friend

This morning as I was getting ready for church I put Sydnee down in front of our mirror. Low and behold she made a new friend.

She had the best time playing with this friend and smiling and waving at her new friend.

There was a little confusion when I picked her up and this friend disappeared. She makes life so much more enjoyable:)

Makes you smile

Now this has to make everyone smile....it is contagious!!! She is now getting her second top tooth, which will make number 4.

Love her!!

Tonight as I was getting ready to put Sydnee down it just hit me how much I love this little girl. It is amazing how much love you can have for someone. She is such a joy!! Andy and I are so blessed to have this little life to love and nurture and help grow into the person she will be! Deep thoughts:)

Daddy is gone

For those of you who don't know...Andy deployed for 4 months. We had a nice last day together. I took a bunch of pictures of him doing his daddy duties with Sydnee. We went on a walk one last time in her new wagon. She loves the wagon tons!! He gave her a bath and brushed her teeth, well the 2 1/2 of them. He also helped her to practice standing. He loves his little girl so much and I know it is going to be a long 4 months for him!!

Here comes tooth number three

I discovered a couple days ago that Sydnee's first top tooth is coming in. She is going to look so different when it is in all the way. She really hasn't had any problems with teething and we are thankful for that!! She loves to eat her cheerios and is loving all the new tastes of baby food!! She is so much fun!

Over the holidays

We had a great time being home this year for the holidays. Sydnee's first Christmas was a lot of fun. I believe she did have more fun with the paper, bows, ribbons, and boxes. We went to Andy's parents house a few days before Christmas and then to my sisters house with my family on Christmas Eve and day. Sydnee had a lot of fun with all of her cousins. She is really starting to play independantly and interacts more with people. She is definatly in a fun stage!!
